Chief Executive Officer

A new digital fund-raising operator is seeking a high-calibre Chief Executive Officer. In this job, you will join them in setting up a new fund-raising platform that will offer a new avenue and greater flexibility to, especially the small to mid-sized companies looking to raise fund in the capital market.

About the Chief Executive Officer Role:
Reporting to the Board of Directors and backed by highly regulated entities, you will be provided ownership of the Company and constantly push your limit in order to achieve the desired results for the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build brand and product by developing and executing short/long-term roadmap/strategy
• Recruit and lead a team and manage the company’s operations including oversee operating plan, budget, cash flow, finances
• Identify and pursue opportunities and pursue them to close deals as you are responsible to achieve revenue and corporate targets/objectives
• Engage in alternative fund-raising evangelising including through public speaking, digital media promotion
• Establish strategic partnerships with other companies in order to reach user growth targets
• Maintain high standards of integrity and professionalism in handling external stakeholders and maintain good reputation of the company
• Comply and be familiar with all relevant acts, laws, rules and regulations and guideline

To succeed in this role, you must have at least 15 years of work experience in the Malaysian fund-raising ecosystem such as debt capital market (bond, sukuk and P2P) and other forms of fund raising.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in business, accounting, finance or equivalent
• Proven track record of executing fund-raising activities
• Extensive network/clientele of prospective issuers (especially SMEs and enterprises) and investors (including institutional and high-net-worth investors)
• Experience in fintech/startup/digital platforms is an added advantage
• Familiar with regulatory framework relating to Securities Commission Guidelines on Recognised Markets
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills to manage internal and external stakeholders
• Great presentation skills and able to conduct public speaking engagements
