Tax Manager

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with the Tax Director APAC on various projects and initiatives across the Asia Pacific region. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing tax strategies in Malaysia & Thailand, managing tax risks, and identifying opportunities to improve tax efficiency.

What you'll do:

You will be responsible for implementing effective tax strategies in Malaysia & Thailand that align with the company's overall objectives.

• Manage all tax matters including direct tax, indirect tax, and transfer pricing
• Support tax angles of business models set up, sourcing changes, new business flows and conversions
• Communicate and coordinate with stakeholders from various departments
• Supervise tax & customs audit and tax litigation with the support of stakeholders
• Lead, guide, and motivate the verticalized tax team of Malaysia and Thailand

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Tax Manager position is someone who brings a wealth of experience in corporate taxation. With at least 8 years of experience under your belt and 3 years of leadership experience.

• University degree in Tax, Finance, or Accounting
• At least 8 years work experience in corporate tax, transfer pricing or indirect tax
• Experience working in Big 4 or in-house is highly preferred
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Proven leadership and influencing skills
• Strong project management skills
