Our client is a leading private conglomerate with businesses spanning across multiple countries. They are currently seeking a Tax Manager to join their finance team. What you'll do:
As a Tax Manager, your role will be pivotal in developing and implementing strategies that optimize the organization's tax liabilities and compliance. You will ensure adherence to all relevant tax laws and regulations while overseeing the planning and reporting processes. Your responsibilities will also include conducting research on changes in tax laws, providing guidance to finance teams, managing audits, reviewing provisions for financial reporting, monitoring risks, identifying planning opportunities, and leading a team of professionals.
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the organization's tax liabilities and compliance.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Oversee tax planning and reporting processes.
- Conduct tax research to stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
- Provide guidance and support to finance and accounting teams on tax-related matters.
- Manage tax audits and inquiries.
- Review and approve tax provisions and accruals for financial reporting purposes.
- Monitor and mitigate tax risks identifying potential tax planning opportunities.
- Lead and supervise tax professionals within the organization.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Tax Manager position should possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or equivalent. A certified professional qualification such as CPA would be advantageous. You should have a minimum of 5 years experience in tax planning, compliance, and reporting with a focus on complex issues. Strong knowledge of local and international tax laws is essential along with an ability to analyze complex issues. Experience in dealing with authorities, managing audits, resolving inquiries is required. Excellent leadership skills are necessary along with strong communication skills.
