As a Tax Executive, you will play a pivotal role in managing the organisation's tax affairs. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include preparing and filing various types of tax returns, conducting thorough research on changes in tax laws, analysing financial data for potential tax implications, and assisting in the development of effective tax planning strategies. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with different internal departments, providing them with valuable guidance on all things related to taxes. Furthermore, you will be expected to maintain accurate records of all tax-related documents. This role requires someone who can keep up with the fast-paced nature of the industry while maintaining high levels of accuracy and professionalism.

  • Prepare and file various tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Conduct tax research to stay informed about changes in tax laws, regulations, and rulings
  • Analyse financial data and transactions to determine tax implications
  • Assist in developing and implementing tax planning strategies
  • Collaborate with internal departments to provide tax-related guidance
  • Respond to tax notices from authorities and represent the organisation in audits
  • Maintain accurate tax records and filing systems
  • Provide guidance on tax matters to internal stakeholders
  • Monitor changes in tax laws to identify risks and opportunities

What you bring:

The ideal Tax Executive will bring a wealth of experience in tax compliance and planning. You should have a strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations, with a particular focus on income tax and sales/use tax. Proficiency in tax software applications and MS Office Suite is essential, as is the ability to analyse complex financial data. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to interact effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. A high level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion is required when handling sensitive tax information. Lastly, your willingness to stay current on developments in tax law through continuing education will be highly valued.

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or advanced degree in Taxation preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in tax compliance and planning
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
  • Proficiency in tax software applications and MS Office Suite; advanced Excel skills are beneficial
  • Excellent analytical abilities with keen attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to research complex tax issues and provide clear recommendations
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling sensitive tax information
