About the Manager, Indirect Tax Role:
As the Manager, Indirect Tax, you will mainly be involved in handling the indirect tax matters e.g. SST and VAT for the company based in Bangsar.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, verify, and oversee indirect tax filing plan for the Group to ensure timely submission and payment of indirect tax returns (Service Tax, Sales Tax, Imported Service Tax, Value Added Tax, etc.)
• Identify improvement opportunities to the indirect tax compliance process an implement related process changes
• Manage, review, and oversee indirect tax audits
• Provide ad-hoc advice on indirect tax related matters covering request by the business unit and management
• Manage and participate in continuous awareness session for the group on indirect tax matters
• Provide updates on new laws/regulations/guides/policies, etc., to ensure compliance and increase awareness
• Liaise directly with customs officers in relation to any indirect tax audit or clarification on indirect tax treatment
• Verify VAT returns and liaise directly with oversea tax agent to ensure VAT submission and payment within stipulated deadlines
• Ensure all processes are in accordance with company policies and procedures and SST regulations

To succeed in this Manager, Indirect Tax role, you must be highly knowledgeable in indirect tax regulations in Malaysia.

Key Requirements:

• At least a Professional Certificate, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent
• Minimum of five years of experience in indirect tax
• Ability to multitask and deal with time constraints while effectively managing deadlines
• Leadership skills
• A committed team player with good communication and strong interpersonal skills
• High integrity and able to work independently
