A tax firm is seeking an Executive Director (Tax Firm). In this job, you will lead the tax department in their head office in Kuala Lumpur.

About the Executive Director (Tax Firm) Role:
Due to the company’s business growth, they are seeking an agile and resourceful leader to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, drive and manage the department in providing client engagement which includes tax compliance, tax advisory, tax audit and investigation
• Understand current market trends knowledge and keep abreast of latest tax development, which includes the involvement in the preparation of annual budget seminar, newsletter, and tax updates
• Develop good rapport with external clients and government officers
• Provide training and coaching to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge which in turn leads to quality and ensures timely delivery of jobs assigned
• Establish professional tax knowledge through sharing and participation in the continual development and publication of thought leadership and service offerings

To succeed in this Executive Director (Tax Firm) role, you must possess at least 15 years of relevant work experience in tax with a majority of time spent in professional service firms.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Professional qualifications is an added advantage (CTIM, ACCA, CPA, etc.)
• Ability to work well and has excellent stakeholder engagements
• Highly autonomous person with analytical and joined-up thinking
