What you'll do:

As a Senior Accounts Payable Analyst, you will oversee financial operations across regions by handling complex reconciliations, preparing audit documentation, and ensuring accurate payment processing. You’ll identify areas for process improvement, support junior colleagues through training, and resolve account variances efficiently. • Execute all transition activities for accounts payable processes, ensuring alignment with project timelines and organisational goals.
• Develop, update, and maintain detailed work procedures and training materials to support team onboarding and continuous learning.
• Lead training sessions for junior staff and new hires, fostering a collaborative culture through knowledge sharing.
• Conduct work shadowing exercises to document tasks accurately and address system or knowledge gaps before implementing new processes.
• Reconcile accounts payable ledgers after period close, ensuring timely submission of reconciliations to meet deadlines and maintain financial integrity.
• Analyse accounts payable balances for variances, identifying and resolving entries requiring correction or adjustment promptly.
• Follow up on reconciling balances, collaborating with stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently and ensure accurate records.
• Perform intercompany balance confirmations in line with corporate policies, reconciling monthly statements and addressing discrepancies quickly.
• Process payments accurately according to schedules, coordinating with Treasury to confirm fund availability before payment runs when necessary.
• Prepare and submit detailed accounts payable reports on time, supporting internal controls and assisting with audits or other ad hoc management tasks as needed.

What you bring:

To excel as a Senior Accounts Payable Analyst, you’ll bring strong technical expertise, interpersonal skills, and experience in accounts payable, ideally within shared services. Proficiency in Oracle and advanced Excel skills are essential, along with an analytical mindset to identify inconsistencies. Effective communication is key for collaborating globally and delivering training locally. A proactive approach to learning and a commitment to supporting others will foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.

• Hold a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, showcasing a strong foundation in financial principles.
• Have at least three years of relevant experience in accounts payable, preferably within a Shared Services environment, to ensure familiarity with large-scale operations.
• Possess hands-on experience with Oracle systems for efficient navigation and workflow integration.
• Demonstrate advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and strong analytical skills to interpret data accurately and identify trends or anomalies.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills in English to collaborate effectively with colleagues across regions.
• Show meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure while meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications beyond Excel, including Word and PowerPoint, for comprehensive reporting needs.
• Display a self-motivated attitude with a willingness to learn new concepts and adapt processes as business needs evolve.
