What you'll do:

As a Finance Controller,ship, Lead- you will play an integral role in delivering high-quality financial accounting, control, and reporting processes within a team of dedicated professionals. You will collaborate closely with external partners on regulatory submissions while driving process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and value creation throughout the organisation.

  • Manage the month-end close process by ensuring all financial reporting is completed accurately and within required timelines.
  • Maintain a strong financial control environment that aligns with internal control frameworks and supports robust governance standards.
  • Oversee balance sheet governance activities to ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Partner closely with local business teams and shared services to provide dependable support for finance operations across multiple markets.
  • Support cash management initiatives by collaborating with stakeholders to optimise cash generation strategies.
  • Provide comprehensive financial data and assistance for Direct and Indirect Tax matters by working alongside local teams and external tax advisors to meet statutory obligations.
  • Assist with Transfer Pricing activities by supplying accurate information for new setups as well as annual reviews in accordance with corporate policies.
  • Coordinate statutory reporting processes with external service providers to guarantee timely and precise submissions to local authorities.
  • Deliver analytical support for ad hoc business queries while maintaining high standards of service level agreements.
  • Identify opportunities for process standardisation, simplification, and continuous improvement by actively participating in ongoing transformation initiatives.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Finance Controller position brings substantial experience gained from working in general accounting or financial controlling roles within large-scale organisations.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline is required for this position.
  • 5–7 years of proven experience in General Accounting, Financial Controlling or similar roles within large organisations is essential.
  • Strong proficiency in both English and Mandarin—written and spoken—is necessary for clear communication across diverse teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to support change initiatives while engaging effectively with multiple stakeholders at various levels of the business.
  • Experience working collaboratively within global teams and adapting to different cultures is highly valued.
  • Hands-on experience using SAP or similar ERP systems is important for managing financial processes efficiently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are needed for building trusted relationships with colleagues, external partners, and regulatory authorities.
  • A commitment to continuous learning through participation in training opportunities will help you stay current with best practices in finance transformation.
  • Attention to detail combined with analytical thinking enables you to deliver accurate financial data under tight deadlines.
