A leading organization in Petaling Jaya is seeking a General Ledger Accountant to support APAC regions. What You'll Do:

As a General Ledger Accountant in Petaling Jaya, you will support APAC with transactional processing. Key tasks include preparing balance sheet reconciliations in BlackLine, posting journal entries in Oracle, managing cash receipts summaries, reconciling bank accounts, resolving discrepancies, and collaborating with regional teams. Success requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a focus on financial integrity. You’ll also contribute to process improvements as the organization grows.

  • Prepare accurate balance sheet reconciliations using BlackLine for assigned general ledger accounts.
  • Post journal entries in Oracle with proper documentation and approvals.
  • Send daily cash receipts summaries to customers promptly.
  • Complete month-end tasks and general administrative duties for smooth financial reporting.
  • Address queries efficiently, ensuring timely resolution within agreed timelines.
  • Perform regular control checks to ensure compliance with policies and data integrity.
  • Process urgent requests accurately and promptly.
  • Input approved journals into Oracle with attention to detail.
  • Reconcile bank accounts daily, resolving discrepancies quickly.
  • Collaborate with Account Receivables Analysts across regions to address receipt application issues.

What you bring:

To excel as a General Ledger Accountant, you’ll need 3-5 years of experience in general ledger accounting, strong bank reconciliation skills, and familiarity with Oracle systems, treasury functions, and full set accounts. Experience in preparing management accounts and annual financial statements is valuable. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential for meeting deadlines and collaborating across regional teams. A commitment to confidentiality and a collaborative mindset will help you thrive in this supportive, improvement-focused environment.

  • Degree in Accounting or equivalent; candidates pursuing professional accounting qualifications are welcome.
  • 3-5 years of experience in general ledger accounting and bank reconciliation.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle is preferred.
  • Experience in treasury functions and managing full set accounts is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to prepare management accounts to support strategic decision-making.
  • Experience in preparing annual financial statements is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships across regions and departments.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Commitment to confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information.
