What you'll do:
- Manage a broad portfolio of international and local clients by planning, directing, and completing audits in accordance with relevant standards.
- Deliver high-quality audit and assurance services by applying professional scepticism and exercising sound judgement on complex technical matters.
- Guide, coach, and motivate team members to achieve shared objectives while cultivating their technical competencies through hands-on training sessions.
- Communicate proactively with stakeholders to manage expectations, provide regular updates on project progress, and ensure alignment throughout each engagement.
- Attend scheduled training sessions to stay informed about developments in professional standards and best practices within the industry.
- Conduct timely performance reviews for staff members, offering constructive feedback that supports their ongoing development and growth.
- Collaborate closely with business development teams on pitches for new engagements, contributing your expertise to secure new business opportunities.
- Work alongside audit business support teams to oversee engagement financials including budgeting, profitability analysis, work-in-progress tracking, billing, and collections.
- Facilitate effective communication within cross-functional teams that span different cultures and backgrounds, promoting an inclusive atmosphere where everyone can thrive.
What you bring:
- Hold a recognised professional accounting qualification such as ACCA or equivalent that demonstrates your commitment to excellence in the field.
- Bring at least five years of relevant experience in audit or assurance services gained ideally within an international accounting firm environment.
- Demonstrate advanced technical knowledge with proven proficiency in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
- Exhibit outstanding communication abilities that enable you to interact effectively across all organisational levels as well as with external stakeholders.
- Uphold strong ethical values while showing genuine respect for diversity within multicultural teams.
- Display a proactive approach coupled with a positive attitude towards challenges; show agility when multitasking across competing priorities without compromising quality.
