What you'll do:

As a GBS Performance and Finance Project Manager, you will play an integral role in shaping the success of the GBS.

  • Develop, monitor, administer, support, compile, calculate, report, and analyse GBS performance indicators to drive continuous improvement in operational performance as well as deliver projects according to planned objectives, goals, and budgets.
  • Monitor, identify, analyse, and resolve issues or trends affecting overall GBS operations by engaging with relevant stakeholders both internally and externally to ensure timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Manage projects assignments within the GBS to ensure delivery within set timelines while meeting defined objectives and maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Provide expert operational support and coaching to the hub team in areas such as processes, operations, performance metrics, and project-related matters to foster a collaborative learning environment.
  • Oversee budget preparation exercises for review and approval by GBS leadership; conduct thorough reviews and analyses of actuals versus budget; monitor monthly accounting activities including preparing supporting documentation and coordinating with various teams on financial transactions.
  • Engage continuously with tower teams regarding resource utilisation and management by monitoring resource trackers, reporting on open issues or clarifications, and following up on required actions.
  • Proactively monitor and support country change request activities to ensure seamless development and transition of new processes into the GBS environment.
  • Develop, monitor, manage, and oversee service level agreement (SLA) recharging activities for the hub to guarantee accuracy, completeness, compliance with requirements, and full cost recovery from stakeholders.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; equivalent professional qualifications or substantial relevant experience will also be considered for this position.
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience working within finance operations or similar environments such as centralised finance centres or shared service centres is essential for success in this role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies with proven results delivering process improvements across multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Comprehensive understanding of operational finance structures including country/regional accounting teams as well as centralised service models.
  • Exceptional communication skills enabling you to convey complex financial information clearly when presenting findings or recommendations to varied audiences.
  • Ability to work dependably both independently and collaboratively within fast-moving settings involving multiple priorities or deadlines.
  • Strong analytical mindset combined with attention to detail when compiling reports or analysing trends impacting operational performance.
  • Commitment to upholding compliance standards relating to policy documentation while ensuring accuracy throughout all administrative tasks.
