What you'll do:

As a Finance Manager based in Kuala Lumpur, you will immerse yourself in a dynamic environment where you are entrusted with significant responsibilities across multiple business units.

• Support core financial reporting functions including preparation of financial statements, management reports, and analysis for strategic decision-making.
• Lead financial planning activities such as budgeting, forecasting, and budgetary control to help drive effective resource allocation within each business unit.
• Ensure strict compliance with local and international accounting standards as well as relevant financial regulations at all times.
• Coordinate audit processes by liaising with external advisors and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth completion of statutory audits and tax-related matters.
• Identify opportunities for performance improvement within finance operations and recommend actionable solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop finance team members to build capability, foster collaboration, and ensure high-quality output across all tasks.
• Maintain robust stakeholder management by communicating effectively with internal teams and external partners to address queries and resolve issues promptly.
• Utilise SAP, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiently for data analysis, reporting, and presentation purposes to support informed decision-making.

What you bring:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance from a recognised institution is essential for this role.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW or MIA are required to demonstrate your technical competence.
• At least 10 years of experience working in finance roles with substantial exposure to finance operations; candidates from manufacturing or shared services backgrounds are highly preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to learning new concepts quickly while maintaining meticulous attention to detail throughout all tasks undertaken.
• Proactive attitude combined with hands-on involvement in daily operations ensures seamless workflow management within the team.
• Ability to remain agile and open-minded when faced with diverse assignments or changes in priorities within a multicultural workplace.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills enable you to build trust-based relationships both internally and externally.
• Advanced proficiency in SAP as well as Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint is necessary for effective data analysis and reporting duties.
• Excellent communication abilities (spoken & written) in English are mandatory; fluency in Chinese and Bahasa is highly advantageous for engaging with diverse colleagues.
