Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced RTR Accountant to join their APAC Shared Service Centre. This role offers the opportunity to take on significant responsibility for the timeliness, completeness, and accuracy of a full set of accounts. You will be involved in all aspects of accounting, from reviewing inputs from other processes that impact the GL like AR and AP, to ensuring statutory compliance in respect of GST, direct & indirect tax returns, and accounts filings. * Opportunity to work within an established APAC Shared Service Centre * Comprehensive involvement in all aspects of accounting * Responsibility for ensuring statutory compliance

What you'll do:

As an RTR Accountant, your role will be pivotal in maintaining the full set of accounts for the business entity assigned to you within the APAC Shared Service Centre. You will review inputs from supporting processes like AP, AR and HR/Payroll vendors, ensuring their accuracy before they impact the General Ledger. Your responsibilities will also extend to statutory compliance, preparing GST/VAT and other tax returns. You'll perform monthly financial analysis for reporting packs and prepare annual audited accounts for the legal entity. Your expertise will be crucial in preparing monthly intercompany reconciliations, annual tax computations, deferred tax computations, balance sheet reconciliations and bank reconciliations.

  • Maintain company full set of accounts in a timely, complete and accurate manner
  • Review work of external service providers such as payroll vendors, tax agents, company secretary and auditors
  • Maintain complete and accurate record of fixed assets
  • Ensure all prepayments and accruals are accurately calculated and recorded on a monthly basis
  • Prepare GST/ VAT and all other tax returns
  • Perform monthly financial analysis for reporting packs
  • Prepare annual audited accounts for the legal entity
  • Prepare monthly intercompany reconciliation
  • Prepare annual tax computation, deferred tax computation
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliation

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this RTR Accountant position brings a wealth of experience in accountancy along with a degree or equivalent qualification. With at least 6 years' experience as an Accountant under your belt, including a minimum of 3 years' audit experience preferably from a medium firm or Big 4, you are well-versed in the intricacies of the role. Your technical know-how extends to proficiency with ERP systems, particularly Oracle JDE, and you're comfortable using Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. You have a strong understanding of IFRS standards and bring strong analytical skills to the table. Your leadership qualities shine through, and your excellent communication and interpersonal skills are complemented by your command of the English language and ability to read and write Mandarin.

  • Degree in accountancy or equivalent qualification
  • At least 6 years of similar experience as an Accountant with minimum 3 years audit experience (medium firm or Big 4 Preferred)
  • Experience with ERP system (Oracle JDE preferred)
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
  • Familiarity with IFRS standard
  • Strong analytical skills with good leadership qualities
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with command over English language
  • Ability to read and write Mandarin
