Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Ledger Team Lead to join their dynamic finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead general accounting administration for assigned entities, ensuring accurate and timely input of financial data, and compiling scheduled and adhoc financial reports. The successful candidate will have the chance to work in a supportive environment that values collaboration, commitment, and understanding.

What you'll do:

As a General Ledger Team Lead, you will be at the forefront of our client's finance operations. Your primary responsibility will be leading general accounting administration for assigned entities. You will ensure the accurate and timely input of financial data, compile scheduled and adhoc financial reports, analyze data, identify and resolve discrepancies. You will also review general ledger entries and vouchers to ensure compliance with US and local GAAP. Your role will involve preparing trial balances for review and accounts reconciliation for entities in the region. Additionally, you will conduct monthly reviews of payroll accounts.

  • Lead general accounting duties for assigned offices and entities
  • Ensure accurate and timely input of financial data
  • Compile scheduled and adhoc financial reports
  • Analyze data, identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Review general ledger entries and vouchers to ensure compliance with US and local GAAP
  • Prepare trial balances for review and accounts reconciliation for entities in region
  • Conduct monthly review of payroll accounts
  • Plan the work of the unit, set context for direct reports on a regular basis

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the General Ledger Team Lead position brings a wealth of experience in finance and accounting. You possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (5-8 years), with CPA/CGMA certification being a plus. Your background includes audit experience, along with proven working knowledge of local and multinational accounting standards (US GAAP and IFRS) as well as internal control requirements. You demonstrate strong analytical skills, coupled with applied knowledge in optimizing the use of ERP applications for daily cost accounting duties. Above all, your leadership experience sets you apart.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (5-8 years)
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) / Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) certification preferred
  • Audit experience preferred
  • Proven working knowledge of local and multinational accounting standards (US GAAP and IFRS) and internal control requirements
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Applied knowledge in optimizing the use of ERP applications for daily cost accounting duties
  • Leadership experience
