The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and subject matter expertise in all general accounting process flows and procedures, ensuring compliance with corporate requirements and accounting standards. What you'll do:
As a Record to Report Team Lead, your primary responsibility will be to provide leadership within the General Ledger function. You will ensure that all financial accounting activities are compliant with company policies, local regulations, and standards. Your role will involve active participation in both internal and external audits, providing technical expertise in Record to Report processes. You will lead your team with an eye for detail and a clear understanding of accounting concepts. Your role will also involve reviewing Financial Accounting reports, reconciliation processes, variance analysis processes conducted by your team. You will maintain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders while driving future acquisition activities into SSC Malaysia.
- Manage daily operations in the General Ledger function
- Ensure accuracy and timely delivery of monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting reports
- Ensure financial accounting activities comply with company policies, local regulations, and standards
- Participate actively in internal and external audits
- Provide technical expertise in Record to Report process
- Lead the RTR team to minimize error rate by applying excellent attention to detail and understanding of accounting concepts
- Review Financial Accounting reports, reconciliation, variance analysis processes by the team
- Supervise and manage the quality of work performed by the team
- Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Drive future acquisition activities into SSC Malaysia
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Record to Report Team Lead role will bring a wealth of experience from their previous roles. You should hold a recognized degree in Finance/Accounting or relevant disciplines; or professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA. You should have 5 - 7 years of relevant work experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory position. Experience in a Shared Services Centre will be advantageous. You should demonstrate extensive knowledge and understanding of proper accounting treatment for record to report transactions and activities. Your communication skills should be excellent, with a good command of English both written and verbal. Proficiency in SAP system, OneStream and computer applications (Microsoft Office applications - Outlook, Excel, Words, PowerPoint) is required. You should possess strong team management٫ negotiation and problem-solving skills.
