What you'll do:

As an RTR Analyst for the China Market, you will be at the forefront of our client's finance operations. You will be responsible for analysing weekly and monthly trends, preparing balance sheet account reconciliations, assisting with tax filings and compliance activities. Your ability to gather data for trend analysis and management presentations will be invaluable. Furthermore, your role will involve analysing the ROI of expenditures for projects and recommending improvements. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Analyse weekly and monthly trends and reconciliations in partnership with leaders and department management to develop/update quarterly forecasts and budgets.
  • Interpret monthly financial results to identify issues for internal departments; provide insights.
  • Prepare and process month-end journal entries; prepare balance sheet account reconciliations; calculate, update, and assist maintenance of product standard cost in ERP system.
  • Gather information for management presentations.
  • Prepare annual tax filings, other indirect taxes and assist in annual tax filings.
  • Assist in compliance activities such as SOX, key and internal controls, fixed asset audits, physical inventory.
  • Analyze ROI of expenditures for projects, identify operational implications, and recommend improvements.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the RTR Analyst role will bring a wealth of accounting experience, particularly in cost accounting. You will have a solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), coupled with proven expertise in MS Office Suite and related financial systems. Your excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally at all organisational levels will be key to your success in this role. Furthermore, your ability to manage confidential information with discretion and maintain strict attention to detail will be highly valued.

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related field with 3 years' experience within SSC
  • Experience in accounting, forecasting, planning or expense analysis.
  • Experience working in a subsidiary area within an international company
  • Proven expertise in MS Office Suite, including advanced Excel and related financial systems; ERP (e.g., JDE, Oracle, SAP) experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Strict attention to detail.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organisational levels.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and representing the department on specific projects.
