Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shared Services Centre Accounting Manager to oversee and manage the full Accounts Payable (AP), Cash Management (CM) and Accounts Receivables (AR) activities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to enhance efficiency and productivity within a dynamic team, while ensuring compliance with group financial controls. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing queries from various stakeholders, reviewing and approving bank entries, and contributing to the standardisation of accounting procedures. * Oversee AP, CM and AR activities * Ensure compliance with group financial controls * Contribute to the standardisation of accounting procedures

What you'll do:

As a Shared Services Centre Accounting Manager, your role will be pivotal in overseeing and managing key financial operations including Accounts Payable, Cash Management, and Accounts Receivables. You will be instrumental in driving the standardisation of these activities to enhance efficiency and productivity within the team. Your expertise will be crucial in managing queries from various stakeholders such as Group Treasury, bankers, external auditors, among others. You will also play a significant role in reviewing and approving bank entries and other journal entries related to AP, CM, and AR processes. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to shape the professional growth of your team members by planning and designing their development plans.

  • Manage the full Accounts Payable (AP), Cash Management (CM) and Accounts Receivables (AR) activities
  • Review and drive the standardisation of AP, CM and AR activities
  • Manage queries from Group Treasury, bankers, external, internal and other local statutory audits/reporting requirements
  • Oversee the completion of all team tasks within SLA/KPI requirements
  • Review and approve bank entries and other journal entries in relation to AP, CM and AR processes
  • Plan and design a development plan for every team member
  • Assist in the standardisation of accounting procedures/practices within the SSC

What you bring:

The ideal Shared Services Centre Accounting Manager will bring a wealth of experience to our client's team. With at least 6 years of relevant work experience under your belt, preferably with a minimum of 3 years in audit, you are well-versed in IFRS accounting practices. Your strong knowledge and experience in managing AP, AR and CM processes in a large organisation will be invaluable. Your analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are top-notch, complemented by your strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities. You have excellent spreadsheet and word skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications. Your ability to interpret and report financial information is second to none.

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant working experience (preferably minimum 3 years in audit)
  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/MACPA/ASCPA) or equivalent
  • Strong IFRS accounting knowledge and experience
  • Strong knowledge and experience in managing AP, AR and CM processes in a large organisation
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent spreadsheet and word skills (Microsoft Office and Google)
  • Excellent ability to interpret and report financial information
