This role is pivotal in ensuring the overall General Ledger function operates effectively, compliantly, and to a high standard. The successful candidate will be responsible for analysing GL KPIs, establishing best practices, developing the GL team, and acting as a change agent. What you'll do:

As a General Ledger Manager, your role will be multifaceted. You will be tasked with managing the overall General Ledger function, ensuring it operates effectively and compliantly. Your excellent analytical skills will be put to use as you analyse GL KPIs and derive improvements for the processes. You will also work closely with the Finance team to establish best-in-class GL processes. Your leadership skills will shine as you develop a high-performing team that values diversity and inclusion. You will also play a crucial role in managing month-end and year-end closings.

  • Analyze and improve GL processes by steering key KPIs.
  • Effectively manage cost, compliance, and quality within the GL function.
  • Partner with the Finance team to establish best-in-class GL processes.
  • Build a high-performing GL team while promoting diversity and inclusion.
  • Inspire, coach, and develop GL employees to ensure operational excellence and compliance.
  • Oversee the GL function, including month-end (MEC) and year-end (YEC) closing.
  • Ensure compliance with group, legal, and tax requirements, maintaining consistent financial records.
  • Continuously identify and implement GL process improvements using continuous improvement tools.
  • Act as a change agent, challenging the status quo and driving innovation.

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the General Ledger Manager role will bring a wealth of experience in managing a General Ledger function. Your strong analytical skills will be crucial in analysing KPIs and improving processes. Your leadership abilities will be put to good use as you develop a high-performing team that values diversity and inclusion. You will also have experience in managing month-end and year-end closings, ensuring compliance within the finance function, and working closely with a Finance team.   • Bachelor’s degree in accounting and professional accounting qualification.
  • More than 5 years of experience demonstrating global business acumen in a multinational, matrix driven organization.
  • Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, demanding, dynamic environment.
