What you'll do:
As an Account Payable Senior Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounts payable department. Your responsibilities will include monitoring company expenses, implementing cost-saving strategies, ensuring timely payments of vendor invoices and expense vouchers, maintaining accurate financial records, and preparing reports on accounts payable performance. You will also be tasked with developing, implementing, and maintaining systems, procedures, and policies to ensure adherence to company guidelines. Furthermore, you will provide training, guidance, and direction to staff to ensure work is performed in an efficient manner.
- Oversee daily operations of the accounts payable department, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Ensure timely and accurate payments of vendor invoices and employee expense vouchers.
- Maintain and reconcile financial records, preparing reports on accounts payable performance.
- Develop, implement, and enforce policies, systems, and procedures to ensure compliance with company guidelines.
- Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Provide training, mentorship, and guidance to the accounts payable team to ensure high-quality performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve payment discrepancies and improve workflows.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Account Payable Senior Manager position brings proven experience in a similar role along with strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations. Your ability to manage large amounts of data coupled with your high degree of accuracy and attention to detail will be crucial in this role. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are essential as you will be interacting with various stakeholders within the organisation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in accounts payable or finance, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
- Proficiency in SAP
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.
- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal teams and external vendors.
- Ability to implement process improvements and drive operational efficiency.
- Proficient in Mandarin speaking, reading and writing
