Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Management Accounting Lead to pioneer their new Shared Service Centre (SSC). This role offers the unique opportunity to establish and guide the transition of Record-to-Report (RTR) operations within the SSC, interacting with key stakeholders across finance, business, outsourcing partners, and global process owners.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the comprehensive financial transactions and personnel within the RTR - Management Accounting stream. This position is based in Kuala Lumpur and offers a hybrid working model.

What you'll do:
As a Management Accounting Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our client's new Shared Service Centre (SSC). Your primary responsibility will be to guide the transition and establishment of Record-to-Report (RTR) operations within the SSC. You will work closely with SSC leadership, Business Unit finance, Business Leaders, and outsourced parties to establish service levels, performance metrics, and technology requirements. Your role will also involve overseeing day-to-day operations of RTR Management accounting, ensuring prompt and precise delivery of financial services to stakeholders within the region. You will manage service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs), striving to meet or surpass performance targets at all times.
- Guide the transition and establishment of RTR operations within the SSC
- Establish service levels, performance metrics, and technology requirements
- Oversee day-to-day operations of RTR Management accounting
- Manage SLAs and KPIs to meet or surpass performance targets
- Lead month-end financial review meetings
- Complete HFM(Hyperion) and SAP close
- Monitor global process adherence and controls implementation
- Adhere to and improve the governance model between Local business units, SSC and outsourced party
- Support communication of change and trainings for all team members with respect to RTR processes or automations
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Management Accounting Lead role brings a wealth of experience in RTR/Accounting, with at least 6 years spent as a Management Accountant. You possess a detailed understanding of the review process underlying all Management accounting activities and are proficient in MS Office tools, HFM, and SAP ECC. Your experience in a company that had to comply with SOX Controls has given you proficiency in IFRS. You have a proven track record of utilizing data insights to identify trends, efficiencies, and areas for improvement. Your experience working with SLA's, KPI's and in determining the right resourcing loading model will be invaluable in this role.
- Detailed understanding of the review process underlying all Management accounting activities
- At least 12 years' relevant experience in RTR/Accounting, with at least 6 years as Management Accountant
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, HFM and SAP ECC , Blackline is a plus
- Proficiency in IFRS and work experience in a company that had to comply with SOX Controls
- Experience in utilizing data insights to identify trends, efficiencies, and areas for improvement
- Experience in working with SLA's, KPI's and in determining the right resourcing loading model
