This role offers an exciting opportunity to analyse complex financial data, derive key insights, and evaluate the company’s financial performance. The successful candidate will collaborate across various departments, gather pertinent financial data, establish uniform reporting parameters, and align company-wide understanding of key financial metrics. What you'll do:

As a Financial Reporting Specialist, you will play a crucial role in analysing complex financial data and evaluating the company's performance. You will be responsible for adhering to a tight control environment, collaborating across various departments to gather pertinent financial data, establishing uniform reporting parameters, conducting financial variance analysis, contributing to the preparation of presentation materials for board meetings and investor relations, ensuring compliance with company policies and statutory requirements in all financial reporting activities. Your ability to participate in special projects requiring financial input or analysis will be essential.

  • Analyze intricate financial data, extract key insights, and assess the financial performance of the company.
  • Comply with a stringent control environment that follows the company's established internal control framework.
  • Collaborate with various departments, collect relevant financial data, and establish consistent reporting parameters.
  • Perform financial variance analysis and provide comprehensive interpretations to assist the management team in making informed decisions.
  • Contribute to the creation of presentation materials for board meetings and investor relations.
  • Ensure that financial reporting aligns with company policies and meets statutory requirements.
  • Take part in special projects that require financial input or analysis.
  • Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts to generate reports that support monthly and quarterly reporting.
  • Generate customized reports and undertake special projects to enhance the overall efficiency of the general ledger department.
  • Prepare disclosures for USGAAP and local reporting.

What you bring:

The ideal Financial Reporting Specialist will bring a BSc/BA in accounting, finance or a relevant field, along with proven experience in financial reporting, planning, and analysis. With 3 - 5+ years of relevant experience, you will be highly detail-oriented and able to work under tight deadlines. Your customer service orientation, coupled with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, will enable you to excel in this role. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, as is proficiency in English & Chinese. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel/SAP would be advantageous.

  • Proven experience in financial reporting, planning, and analysis is necessary

  • Proficiency in English & Chinese is required

  • Knowledge of cash application software and accounting systems is a plus
