About the PTP/AP Team Lead Role: As the PTP Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in managing a team 10 specialist. You will be responsible for overseeing the full cycle accounts payable process, from vendor set-up to payment approval. Your ability to coordinate work effectively, monitor performance, and ensure conformity to service delivery cycles will be crucial in this role.
Manage a team of multiple Accounts Payable specialists, ensuring timely review and processing of payables
Oversee full cycle accounts payable process including vendor set-up, collaboration with operations, and management of purchase order workflow process including payment approval
Coordinate and assign work to analysts to conform to monthly cycle and ad hoc requirements
Monitor performance and ensure conformity to service delivery cycle and internal control requirements
Initiate contact with various programs and units within the agency, vendors, state agencies, and district offices regarding payments and develop solutions for accounts payable discrepancies
Serve as liaison in responding to accounts payable inquiries for solution of routine payment problems or for information or interpretation from third parties
To succeed in this PTP/AP Team Lead role, you will need a wealth of experience and a strong skill set.
Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or equivalent
Strong financial and business analytical skills with the ability to analyse data for business decisions in a timely manner
More than five years' experience in end-to-end PTP function
Experience in managing teams for more than five years
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal/external stakeholders
Ability to work remotely at a global level whilst maintaining attention to detail
Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
Ability to gather facts and analyse problems in depth, offering potential solutions
Well versed with SAP and Microsoft Excel
