This UK organisation has been established for over 50 years and is operating in a niche market where they have grown leaps and bounds since they first started commencing their operations here in Malaysia. Due to their growth and complexity of the business, they are seeking to improve on the effectiveness and efficiency of their processes by hiring a Compliance and Process Improvement Manager.
About the Compliance and Process Improvement Manager role:
In this integral role, you will be playing a key role in driving the agenda, influence the stakeholders and promoting a collaborative culture within the organisation.
- Ensure compliance of the accounting and finance department with global policies and local statutory regulations and, consistent practices are used throughout the business area
- Analysis and deep dive into the current finance processes of the entities and seek improvements where possible on the reduction of unnecessary tasks, improvement of the accuracy of numbers and reduction of workload and turnaround time
- Ensure continuous improvement in operational processes, process simplification and compliance through utilisation of key metrics and taking remediation action as required
- Contribute in performance improvement projects, develop analysis, engage client teams and stakeholders, and deliver high-quality work products
- Drive the agenda and convince and collaborate with the stakeholders (typically finance departments, global finance, business heads) to adopt such changes as recommended
- Degree or professional qualification in the relevant field
- A minimum of 10 years of working experience within a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Technically strong in accounting/finance processes and able to implement best practices to make the internal processes more efficient
- Able to be hands-on and is able to work well with little guidance
