External Audit Manager

A professional accounting firm is currently seeking a talented candidate for an External Audit Manager job. In this job, you will handle end-to-end external audit related matters.

About the External Audit Manager Role:
In this business critical role, you will be responsible for managing all external audit related matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage an audit team involving planning, organising and managing audit activities for a portfolio of clients- PLCs and SMEs
• Ensure the firm’s risk management and quality control procedures are adhered to at all times
• Lead, train and develop an effective audit team with both technical and non-technical competencies
• Motivate and coach team members to help them achieve their targeted goals
• Monitor the time frame and work progress to ensure timely and effective delivery of quality services to clients
• Maintain high professional standards and quality of audit engagements
• Developing and maintaining strong and good relationship with clients

To succeed in this External Audit Manager role, you must be well-versed in MFRS, MPERS and ISA.

Key Requirements:

• Professional accounting qualification and/or a recognised bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• Preferably a member of MIA/MICPA/ACCA/ICAEW or equivalent
• Well-versed in MFRS, MPERS and ISA
• Minimum of four years' relevant working experience
• Relevant work experience in mid-tier or big audit firm of similar capacity
• Strong leadership, people management and mentoring skills
• Strong communication including writing and presentation skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
