RXM - AVP, Financial Accounting

An exciting opportunity for an AVP, Financial Accounting at an international bank based in KL with hybrid working arrangement.

What you'll do:

• Ensure the preparation and prompt submission of all reports to management, regulatory bodies, and relevant stakeholders.
• Accurately prepare all reports in compliance with the Bank's policies, BNM guidelines, accounting standards, and other applicable requirements.
• Assist in identifying and resolving operational errors or issues by implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
• Investigate and report any discrepancies or irregularities arising from transactions or General Ledger balances.
• Ensure that routine operations are conducted efficiently and accurately while adhering to established rules, policies, procedures, and reporting requirements.
• Maintain the confidentiality of both Bank and customer information at all times.
• Comply with the Bank’s compliance program by reporting any unusual or suspicious transactions and ensuring that record-keeping and operational practices align with established rules and procedures.
• Process and ensure the timeliness, accuracy, and correctness of all details and procedures related to prepared reports.
• Ensure the seamless execution of report generation and accounting operations in accordance with the Service Level Agreement, Head Office operational procedures, as well as local and international policies.
• Coordinate and collaborate with in sourced branches or subsidiaries regarding reporting operations and functions.

What you bring:

• Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant working experience.
• Hold a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, MIA) is an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of MFRS, IFRS, Bank Negara Malaysia’s guidelines, and tax laws/regulations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail, reliability, analytical abilities, interpersonal skills, and exceptional organisational and time management capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
