Accountant

An established securities MNC is recruiting for an Accountant to assist the Senior Finance Manager in running the accounting functions of the company.

About the Accountant Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of accounting functions including review of journals, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed assets, inventories, financial statements, and intercompany reconciliations for the group of companies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance of group finance accounting policy for the financial reporting and standard accounting policies for the statutory reporting, review financial statements, standard operating procedures, internal controls, and month-end closing processes
• Responsible for all balance sheet reconciliations for the Group including fixed assets management
• Work closely with the Finance Shared Services team (R2R, P2P, O2C), supervise and motivate the SSC team to ensure a high standard of work quality and quantity
• Providing supports to local stakeholders as and when required such as GL analysis, assessment of provisions, inventory, receivables, consumables, and balance sheet movements
• Manage day-to-day finance and accounting operations and preparing the financial reports on monthly, quarterly and ad hoc as and when required

To succeed in the Accountant role, you must possess at least two years of working experience in professional accounting firm or similar experiences in commercial industry.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or professional qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW/MACPA)
• Ability to work in multi-divisions and finance shared services environment
• Good analytical skills, highest standards of accuracy, meticulous and highly organised
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, handle tight deadlines for reporting and improvement projects
• Possess Microsoft Excel skills, preferably with MS Navision ERP hands-on knowledge
