Our client is seeking a dedicated and strategic Head of Transaction Risk to lead their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to spearhead the conduct of investment and transaction risk assessment for a global organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the risk team, strategising and driving the implementation of investment and fund management risk management framework. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a keen eye for detail, and possesses strong leadership skills.

What you'll do:
As Head of Transaction Risk, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our client's risk management strategy. You will be entrusted with leading the conduct of investment and transaction risk assessments across the group. Your responsibilities will include reviewing, recommending, and enhancing various aspects of Investment, Fund, and Retail Risk Management. You will also ensure that an effective governance structure is maintained to manage risk at business units. Your role will involve providing ongoing education, briefing, and training to management teams. Additionally, you will develop, review, and enhance group-wide risk appetite measurements tailored to the industry.

* Review, recommend and enhance Investment, Fund and Retail Risk Management’s roadmap, policy, framework, methodology and system.
* Ensure an effective governance structure is maintained to manage risk at Business Units.
* Provide ongoing education and appropriate briefing and training to management.
* Develop, review and enhance the Group wide a risk appetite and measurements tailored to the industry.
* Investigate and research emerging risks and trends in the industry advising management where appropriate.
* Coordinate the development and enhancement of the Business Continuity Planning (BCP) for IAM.
* Lead and manage the dedicated Risk resources to deliver mandate and agreed KPIs.


What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Head of Transaction Risk position brings a wealth of experience in investment and fund management. With at least five years' experience in these fields, you are well-versed in navigating complex financial landscapes. Your strong business acumen and financial knowledge will be key in driving strategic risk assessments and making informed decisions. You are a strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills, able to adapt to new concerns and changing environments. Your leadership and people management skills enable you to manage various levels of stakeholders effectively.

* Possess at least a Professional Degree/Certificate, Bachelor's Degree or Post Graduate Degree
* At least 5 years in Investment and Fund Management experience
* At least 3 years in current position (VPII or VP1)
* Real estate and risk related experience will be an added advantage
* Good business sense/acumen
* Have strong financial knowledge
* Good communication skills (oral and written)
* Strategy thinker (ability to do strategic risk assessment) and have good analytical skill
