An exciting Control and Compliance Specialist (hybrid) job has just become available at one of the MNCs based in Petaling Jaya. Reporting to the Risk and Control Director, you will be a part of the dynamic team.

About the Control and Compliance Specialist (hybrid) Role:
In this position, you will play a lead role in driving SOX and internal controls compliance in accordance with the defined SOX controls guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain the SOX Matrix for all entities, ensuring changes are captured and documented within the Matrix as and when they occur
• Ensure compliance of the control environments and adherence to the SSC processes are being met in accordance with the defined SOX controls guidelines
• Engage functional leaders on remediation steps to be taken to address internal control concerns (if any) and ensure that any changes have been properly documented and implemented on a timely basis
• Initiate, drive and manage SOX and Internal audits, including pre-audit preparation and coordination of audit requirements/requests with all functional leaders
• Drive and coordinate SOX Control and Internal Control reporting i.e: Annual risk assessment, SOX self- assessment/certification, Segregation of Duties review, etc.
• Plan and facilitate monthly review meetings between the functional leaders, global Head of GBS Finance and International Process Director on the performance of the SSC

To succeed in the Control and Compliance Specialist (hybrid) role, you will need to have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Requirements:

• At least a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or other related fields
• Five years and above relevant working experience. Previous exposure to SOX control environment and SSC service review reporting will be an added advantage
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building and managing internal and external relationships
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• Detail oriented, able to adhere to deadlines in a timely manner
