An exciting Internal Auditor job has just become available at one of the most respected manufacturing and production firms based in Penang. This company is a US Based Manufacturing organisation where they are a leader in the semiconductor industry.

About the Internal Auditor Role:
Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, the Internal Auditor will be responsible for assisting in the performance of assurance and advisory projects to provide risk-based advice and insight to company’s global operations, protect and enhance organisational value, and to maintain compliance with company policies and regulations. You will complete audit interviews and tests as defined in the audit project plan. You will analyse issues and suggest solutions to identified control weaknesses. You will provide input for the development of formal written reports that communicate project results and provide advisement to management. You will gain a broad perspective by working on a variety of assignments across a global organisation to analyse issues and make well-reasoned recommendations on assigned tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in auditing the company’s business processes
• Assist in testing controls for SOX compliance
• Perform assigned assurance and advisory projects from the audit plan
• Provide input into project plans to address risks identified in the audit plan
• Perform fieldwork to achieve project objectives and adequately mitigate risk
• Identify process improvement opportunities to drive efficiency and effectiveness, protect company assets and shareholder value, and maintain compliance with company policies and regulations
• Assist in drafting audit observations and recommendations
• Maintain an effective working relationship with management, audit team members, and other key partners
• Demonstrate effective collaboration with business project teams
• Effectively and succinctly communicate project results and recommendations into assigned project managers

To succeed in this role, you must be ambitious, focused, dedicated, a self-starter with business insight and willing to travel.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent
• Professional certification, such as CIA, CPA, CA, or CISA is preferred
• Two years of experience in auditing, risk management, finance or an equivalent role
• Prior financial (including SOX), operational audit or internal controls experience is desired
• A proven understanding of business processes
• Awareness of internal audit standards (IPPF) and COSO framework
