Internal Auditor

An attractive Internal Auditor job with a reputable market-leader within the retail industry has just become available. Reporting directly to the Head of Internal Audit, this is a role for a finance expertise who is a leader in their field.

About the Internal Auditor Role:
In this business critical role, you will be responsible in internal audit and business process improvement matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review internal controls and operational procedures to ascertain their efficiency, adequacy of controls and compliance to policies and procedures, and making recommendations to improve operations
• Review and finalise the scope of the audit assignment, seeking input from the HOD
• Review of auditee’s systems and/or policies and procedures to ensure that controls exist
• Perform full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operational effectiveness and compliance to applicable directives and regulations
• Conduct internal control assessment and orchestrate the follow up on implementation
• Help define process quality issues, measure current process performance, analyse root cause, and develop targeted process improvement opportunities
• Drive creation and implementation of visual metrics to build sustainability in to continuous improvement
• Streamline, simplify and improve end-to-end processes

To succeed in this Internal Auditor role, you must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Accounting or qualified professional qualification (ACCA, CIMA, MICPA).
• Outstanding analytical skills and a keen eye for detail
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills both written and verbal along with ability to liaise with key stakeholders within the organisation
• Strong writing skill and comprehension
