Regional Accounting Manager

What you'll do:

As Regional Accounting Manager, your day-to-day activities will involve ensuring all statutory obligations are met efficiently while providing valuable insights through detailed management reporting. You will collaborate closely with both internal teams—such as Shared Service Centres—and external partners like auditors or tax advisors.

• Oversee compliance with local statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements across the region by maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and ensuring timely submissions.
• Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and local authorities to facilitate smooth audits and regulatory reviews.
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process for the region by coordinating with internal teams to ensure accurate reconciliations and integrity of financial statements.
• Manage intercompany accounting processes including transaction recording and reconciliations to maintain transparency between entities.
• Prepare and present comprehensive monthly management reports, variance analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to regional and global leadership teams.
• Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes by consolidating regional budgets and forecasts in alignment with global targets.
• Monitor budget versus actual performance closely to proactively highlight risks or opportunities for improvement to senior stakeholders.
• Drive process standardisation, automation initiatives, and continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency within the finance function.

What you bring:

To excel as Regional Accounting Manager you will bring a wealth of proven experience from similar roles within multinational environments. Your background should demonstrate deep technical knowledge in statutory compliance matters alongside hands-on involvement in budgeting cycles and financial planning activities.

• Qualified professional accountant such as ACCA, CPA, CA or equivalent certification is required for this position to ensure technical proficiency.
• At least 8 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles with exposure to regional responsibilities is essential for success.
• Demonstrated experience working within Shared Service Centres or multinational companies is highly valued for this role.
• Proven ability to lead high-performing regional finance teams through periods of change or process transformation is important.
• Excellent communication skills are needed to engage effectively with senior stakeholders from diverse cultural background
• Meticulous attention to detail combined with the ability to manage complexity across several countries while meeting tight deadlines is critical.
