What you'll do:
As a Senior Finance Executive – Consolidation based in Petaling Jaya, you will play a crucial role in shaping the organisation’s financial landscape. Your day-to-day responsibilities will centre around preparing consolidated financial statements for the group, monitoring complex intercompany transactions, supporting budgeting activities, and providing analytical insights for management decisions. You will also review the performance of overseas subsidiaries, offer guidance to local finance teams on compliance matters, and ensure all statutory requirements are met. In addition to these core duties, you will participate in cross-border projects where your financial acumen will help drive strategic initiatives. - Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial statements in accordance with MFRS/IFRS standards as well as internal accounting policies, ensuring accuracy and compliance throughout.
- Monitor intercompany transactions by maintaining balances, performing eliminations, conducting reconciliations, and preparing detailed working schedules to uphold the integrity of group reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and ad-hoc financial analyses that provide management with valuable insights for decision-making processes.
- Review and assess the financial performance of overseas subsidiaries by ensuring timely and accurate reporting while providing guidance on accounting matters.
- Support local finance teams across different regions by offering advice on reporting requirements, compliance issues, and best practices in line with group policies.
- Provide management with clear insights into subsidiary financial health and operational performance through regular analysis and communication.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant local statutory reporting requirements as well as overarching group policies to maintain regulatory standards.
- Participate actively in cross-border projects by delivering financial insights that support strategic decision-making at both local and international levels.
- Implement finance and business process improvements aimed at increasing efficiency, accuracy, and transparency within the organisation’s operations.
- Handle full sets of accounts independently while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is required for this position; ACCA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification is highly preferred.

- Previous audit experience is considered an added advantage as it enhances your understanding of compliance requirements and best practices.
