Group Senior Finance Manager

A MNC in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Group Senior Finance Manager to oversee group financial reporting, consolidations, and audit coordination. You will play a key part in preparing management accounts, managing inter-company reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with corporate tax and transfer pricing regulations.

What you'll do:

As Group Senior Finance Manager based in Kuala Lumpur, you will be entrusted with overseeing the full spectrum of group financial reporting activities. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve preparing detailed management accounts, coordinating audits with external partners, managing complex reconciliations between entities, and ensuring regulatory compliance in tax matters.

• Prepare timely and accurate monthly group management accounts for the entire group, ensuring all financial data is meticulously compiled and presented for review.
• Lead the annual audit process by working closely with statutory auditors and various entities, including the preparation of consolidated group financial statements under IFRS standards.
• Conduct monthly inter-company reconciliation and comprehensive balance sheet reviews to maintain financial integrity across all business units.
• Manage corporate tax matters and transfer pricing for all group entities, ensuring full compliance with local regulations and international standards.
• Provide accurate financial details to multiple stakeholders such as shareholders, banks, regional teams, and country teams, facilitating clear communication and alignment.
• Coordinate and liaise effectively with external parties including auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, as well as local tax and government authorities when required.
• Assimilate financial and operational reporting for newly acquired businesses by handling purchase price allocation (PPA) and opening balance sheets.
• Assist Group and Country CEOs, CFOs, and other team members with ad-hoc tasks that require your technical expertise and collaborative approach.

What you bring:

To excel as Group Senior Finance Manager, you will bring extensive experience from both technical accounting roles and high-profile audit environments.

• Professional degree such as CA, CPA or MBA equivalent is required for this role to demonstrate your advanced understanding of accounting principles.
• At least 10 years of technical accounting experience including prior exposure within Big Four firms is essential for handling complex transactions confidently.
• Proven track record in managing both group and holding accounts within large organisations is necessary for success in this position.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required for preparing detailed reports and analyses efficiently.
• Exposure to working in a regional set-up would be advantageous as it enables you to navigate cross-border financial operations smoothly.
