Our client, a public-listed service company with over four decades of experience in the Malaysian oil and gas industry, is seeking a Group Accountant. This role offers an attractive salary range of RM84,000 to RM96,000 and is based in Bangsar. What you'll do:
As a Group Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role within our client's finance team. You'll be responsible for a wide range of tasks from preparing year-end financial statements to coordinating quarterly and annual stock takes. Your ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines will be crucial as you liaise with external auditors and handle Group KPI reporting. This role requires meticulous attention to detail as you'll also be reviewing and analysing all subsidiaries’ management reports and quarterly reporting packs.
* You will be in charge of quarterly Bursa announcements and dashboard reporting to the board of directors.
* You will prepare year-end financial statements.
* You will review and analyse all subsidiaries’ management reports and quarterly reporting packs.
* You will liaise with external auditors.
* You will assess and implement accounting standards.
* You will handle Group KPI reporting.
* You will prepare financials for Group AGM.
* You will coordinate quarterly and annual stock takes.
* You will assist the internal reporting team when required.
* You will handle any ad hoc external reporting, including financials for any corporate exercise.
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Group Accountant position must bring a wealth of experience from working in a Big 10 audit firm. Your strong academic background in Finance/Accountancy/Banking coupled with your ability to work under pressure makes you the perfect fit for this role. Your commitment to teamwork, excellent communication skills, and high level of integrity are key attributes we're looking for. Your analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail will be put to good use as you review and analyse management reports and handle various accounting tasks.
* You must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
* You must have a proven track record with commercial experience with 2 - 3 years’ experience in Big 10 audit firm.
* You are able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* You are a committed team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
* You are analytical and meticulous for details.
* You have high integrity and able to work independently.
