An exciting Accountant job has just become available at a PLC listed in Bursa Malaysia. In this role, you will manage the financial reporting and group consolidation.

About the Accountant Role:
In this position, you will be responsible for the preparation of group consolidation and bursa announcement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Consolidation of monthly group figures, forecast and budget
• Preparation of quarterly report and consolidated audit schedules
• Compilation and monitoring of group cash flow projections
• Review and check the financial information submitted by subsidiaries/other reporting entities
• Oversee day-to-day accounting matters, monthly financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, bank reconciliation, fixed assets, inventory controls and other related matters
• Coordinate and liaise with internal and external audit, budget. company secretary, tax consultants, bankers, lawyers and other governing authorities pertaining to statutory requirements
• Other ad hoc requirements as required by supervisor or holding company

To succeed in this Accountant role, you must be able to handle group consolidation and financial reporting independently.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Finance/Accountancy or professional qualification (e.g. ACCA/CPA) or equivalent
• Good Microsoft skills ie. Excel, Words and PowerPoint
• Good command of and proficiency in English (both written and verbal)
• Responsible, accountable, resourceful and good team player
• Meticulous with an eye for details and able to manage stress and deliver results under tight deadline
• Self-motivated, full of initiative and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Dedicated and organised individual who has strong time management skills and is committed to getting tasks done
