Head of FP&A

This is a leading services company and is seeking a highly experienced Head of Financial Planning and Analysis to join their Malaysia team. This pivotal role offers you the opportunity to shape financial strategy across of the business, driving both short-term results and long-term growth.

What you'll do:

As Head of Financial Planning and Analysis, you will play an instrumental role in guiding the organisation’s financial strategy for the Malaysia business.

• Report directly to the Chief Financial Officer, providing expert analysis, insights, and recommendations that drive business improvements
• Act as a business partner to maximise commercial goals through effective short-term strategies and long-term planning initiatives.
• Oversee all aspects of financial planning and analysis including budgeting, forecasting, spending reviews, report generation, and ad hoc analyses.
• Lead monthly management account reporting processes to inform decision-making
• Identify business issues proactively by proposing solutions that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), conduct variance analysis, trend analysis, and provide strategic recommendations based on findings
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes by refining reporting methodologies and implementing best practices

To excel as Head of Financial Planning and Analysis in a forward-thinking business, you will bring a wealth of experience gained from senior finance roles within large-scale organisations—ideally those operating internationally

• Fluency in spoken and written English enabling clear communication across diverse teams.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline; MBA qualification is preferred for added depth of expertise.
• Professional accounting certification such as CIMA, ACA, ACCA, CGMA or CPA demonstrating advanced technical knowledge.
• Proven experience managing high-performing teams within complex organisations while fostering a collaborative environment.
• Experience partnering with senior commercial executives showcasing strong relationship-building capabilities across multiple stakeholder groups.
