A leading organisation in Petaling Jaya is seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to join their dedicated finance team. What you'll do:
As a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of the organisation.
- Produce reliable and timely financial reports for regional reporting purposes, ensuring accuracy and clarity for stakeholders across APAC.
- Perform detailed monthly variance analysis on both financial and operational KPIs against forecast and budget, identifying key factors behind variances and developing action plans to address gaps.
- Conduct comprehensive sales and gross profit analyses, providing insightful commentaries that help optimise contribution margins.
- Monitor marketing spend against budget and forecast, offering commercial advice on margin management and operational matters to maximise return on investment.
- Plan and organise annual budgeting and monthly forecasting processes, delivering effective analysis around risks, initiatives, opportunities, and strategies to close forecast gaps.
- Perform pricing and profitability analysis for each line of business, highlighting reasons for key movements or variances and recommending cost-reduction opportunities.
- Evaluate ROI in marketing programmes through pre- and post-assessment as well as new project reviews, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
What you bring:
Your background includes substantial exposure to commercial analysis or business analytics roles—ideally complemented by audit experience at a major firm—which has honed your ability to interpret complex data sets accurately.
- Hold a degree in Accounting or Finance or possess a recognised professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA or CIMA which demonstrates your commitment to excellence in financial management.
- Bring at least six years of experience in a Commercial or Business Analyst role or similar capacity within finance; audit experience with a Big Four firm is considered an added advantage.
- Exhibit strong analytical abilities paired with sound business acumen enabling you to identify key drivers behind financial results and communicate findings effectively.
- Showcase excellent verbal and written communication skills in English allowing you to build dependable relationships across senior levels of the organisation.
- Work dependably both independently and collaboratively as part of a cohesive team committed to achieving shared goals.
