Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced FP&A Analyst to join their team in Kuala Lumpur. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee the full set of monthly financial reports, ensuring alignment with company goals and budget. You will be instrumental in driving efficiency, accuracy, and compliance within the organisation's financial processes. Your expertise will be crucial in preparing variance reports for management review, supporting informed decision-making.

What you'll do:

As an FP&A Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial direction of the organisation. Your primary responsibility will be overseeing the full set of monthly financial reports, ensuring they align with company goals and budget. You will also be tasked with reviewing and analysing financial data to ensure adherence to budgetary targets. Your keen eye for detail will enable you to identify areas for process improvement, enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and compliance within the organisation.

  • Oversee the completion of monthly closing activities in accordance with corporate guidelines
  • Review and analyse financial data to ensure adherence to budgetary targets
  • Prepare and present variance reports for management review
  • Regularly evaluate existing financial processes to identify improvement opportunities
  • Recommend and implement changes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with best practices and organisational standards
  • Coordinate with external auditors during year-end audits and assist in the preparation and submission of annual tax computations and related documentation

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this FP&A Analyst position brings a strong background in finance or accounting along with a minimum of 5 years' progressive experience in finance roles. You possess excellent analytical skills that allow you to review and interpret complex financial data effectively. Your strong communication skills enable you to present this information clearly to stakeholders at all levels. A proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements is essential for success in this role.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is mandatory
  • A Master’s degree or professional certifications such as CPA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent are strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in finance roles
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear manner
  • Proven ability to identify and implement process improvements
