Financial Analyst (FP&A)

Our client is seeking a Financial Analyst (FP&A) to join their team in Petaling Jaya. This role will involve assisting in the analysis of financial and operational aspects, including all areas of revenue and expenses. The successful candidate will provide commercial support to the business unit, including financial performance reporting and analysis, forecasting, budgeting, process and project improvements. They will also be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting financial data to provide actionable insights.

As a Financial Analyst (FP&A), your role will be pivotal in assisting the business unit with financial performance reporting and analysis. You'll be tasked with collecting, analysing, and interpreting financial data to provide actionable insights. Your keen eye for detail will enable you to track current financial data effectively, alerting stakeholders in case of any deviations. You'll also monitor performance indicators, highlight trends, and analyse causes of unexpected variances. Your responsibilities will extend to reconciling data at month-end-closing and preparing comprehensive quarterly and annual reports.

  • Analyse historical and current financial data to understand the company’s financial condition.
  • Track current financial data to alert stakeholders in case of deviation.
  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analysing causes of unexpected variance.
  • Reconcile, provide analysis and ensure accuracy of the data at month-end-closing.
  • Prepare quarterly, and annual reports that provide executives with a basis for making long-term and short-term strategic decisions.
  • Use advanced Excel and Power Point skills to convey the company’s expenses and earnings.
  • Deal with ad-hoc requests with accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Your ability to handle ad-hoc requests accurately in a fast-paced environment will be highly valued. We're looking for someone who is eager to learn and constantly seeking knowledge. Your experience in Financial Planning & Analysis will be essential for this role. If you have hands-on experience working with statistical analysis and statistical packages as well as knowledge of corporate finance, information analysis, and financial diagnosis - we'd love to hear from you.
