What you'll do:
As an Assistant Manager in Financial Planning & Analysis, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial future of the company. You will be responsible for preparing annual budgets, tracking expenses, monitoring capital expenditure, conducting feasibility studies, and analysing gross margin performance. Your ability to work well under pressure, coupled with your advanced knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint, will enable you to excel in this role.
- Prepare annual budget and reforecasts on a monthly/quarterly/half-yearly basis
- Track and analyse departmental expenses against budget and previous year's figures
- Monitor capital expenditure spending and supplier funding against budget
- Conduct feasibility studies for new store openings, renewals, and relocations from a financial perspective
- Analyse monthly gross margin performance and collaborate with merchandise team on sales and margin performance against forecasts
- Communicate effectively both written and spoken within the team
