Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Costing Manager to join their team in Selangor. This role offers the opportunity to oversee, manage, and coordinate day-to-day operations majoring in controlling-costing, inventory, scrap, fixed assets, and financial information analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing bills of material (BOM), routing, and collaborating with relevant departments for cost estimation. What you'll do:

As a Costing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the accounting department's overseas management. Your primary focus will be on controlling-costing, inventory management, scrap handling, fixed asset management, and financial information analysis. You will also be responsible for reviewing bills of material (BOM) and collaborating with relevant departments for cost estimation. Your role will include preparing and analysing product profitability for each product/customer/production line. Additionally, you will handle inventory & scrap related reporting and analysis-aging inventory.

  • Oversee, manage and coordinate day-to-day operations majoring in controlling-costing, inventory, scrap, fixed assets, and financial information analysis
  • Review bills of material (BOM), routing and collaborate with relevant departments for cost estimation
  • Responsible for the process of annual standard cost calculations including establishing, monitoring and analysing accurate standard costs
  • Prepare and analyse the product profitability for each product/customer/production line
  • Handle inventory & scrap related reporting and analysis-aging inventory
  • Coordinate & involve in the annual stock taking & monthly cycle counts with analysis & reconciliations of variances
  • Review, implement and control process flow & procedures to ensure compliance to the Group & Company’s policy
  • Liaise with internal & external auditors and all level of staff in respect of all related responsibilities
  • Create and maintain SAP product costing and analyse SAP cost variances
  • Prepare budget financial performance on a yearly basis
  • Handle fixed assets controls. Procedures, form (acquisition, dispositions, assets tagging etc)
  • Stay up-to-date on budget and actual spending

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Costing Manager role will bring a wealth of experience in the manufacturing industry, with a solid understanding of financial analytics. You should possess at least a degree in accounting or a Professional Qualification in Accounting such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA etc. A minimum of 6 years of working experience is required for this role. If you have a career foundation in an audit firm and knowledge in PowerBI, it would be an added advantage. We are looking for individuals with good business acumen who are tech-savvy, ambitious, and motivated.

  • Possess at least a degree in accounting or Professional Qualification in Accounting i.e. ACCA, CPA, CIMA etc.
  • Minimum 6 years of working experience with solid understanding of the manufacturing industry
  • Strong financial analytics skills
  • Experience in an audit firm and knowledge in PowerBI is an added advantage
  • Good business acumen, tech savvy, ambitious and motivated
  • Excellent written and communication skills in English
