Our client is seeking a Commercial Finance Lead to act as a strategic liaison between the finance function and other business units within their organisation.

This role plays a pivotal part in providing financial insights, analysis, and support to business leaders, enabling informed decision-making and driving performance improvement initiatives.

What you'll do:

As a Commercial Finance Lead, you will be at the heart of our client's operations. You will act as a strategic partner to various business units or departments within the organisation.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and budgets aligned with organisational goals and priorities
  • Conduct financial analysis including variance analysis, trend analysis, and scenario modelling
  • Prepare and present financial reports, forecasts, and projections to senior management
  • Lead the annual budgeting and planning process for assigned business units or departments
  • Provide financial oversight and control including monitoring of budgets, expenses, and financial performance against targets
  • Evaluate investment opportunities, capital allocation decisions, and business cases

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Commercial Finance Lead position brings a wealth of experience in finance or accounting roles. You should posseses strong analytical skills which is used to drive strategic decision making.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • CPA, CFA or other relevant professional certification preferred
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles
  • Strong financial analysis skills including proficiency in financial modelling
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to think analytically
  • Proven track record of driving financial performance improvement
