Commercial Finance Analyst

A Commercial Finance Analyst job has become available at a multinational FMCG company that is a huge manufacturer of frozen foods located in Kuala Lumpur.

About the Commercial Finance Analyst Role:
In this Commercial Finance Analyst role, you will be responsible for assisting the sales and marketing teams in achieving business objectives. The position is responsible for providing informed financial insights on products, customer sales and business performance reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide timely and accurate financial information to the sales and marketing teams that aids in day-to-day decision making
• Identify gaps to plan and work with the sales and marketing teams to address them
• Assist sales with customer range reviews and financial insights
• Assist with trade spend effectiveness
• Assist the budgeting process to ensure the accountability and ownership is embedded in the business
• Provide financial support to pricing decisions
• Various monthly reporting and commentary
• Provide monthly customer profitability reporting
• Assist ad hoc finance commercial priorities where required
• Strong business acumen, communication and leadership skills

To succeed in this Commercial Finance Analyst role, you will need to have strong influencing skills will be critical to success in the role as it works with senior sales leaders.

Key Requirements:

• Tertiary degree qualified
• Three years’ experience in a commercial analytical role ideally within the FMCG industry or similar
• Advanced level of computer literacy, particularly in spreadsheet tools
• Ability to utilise a broad range of business reporting tools e.g. Microsoft Office, EDW, SAP
• High degree of numerical and reporting accuracy. Attention to detail – experience with forecasting and project management
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders
• Ability to interpret/understand company objectives as they relate to operational area and effectiveness
• A strong desire to be proactively involved and influence cross-functionally within the company
