What you'll do:

As Financial Controller, you will be entrusted with overseeing all aspects of the organisation’s financial management.

• Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies that align with the organisation’s objectives and future growth plans, ensuring all initiatives are data-driven and realistic.
• Provide timely financial insights and well-considered recommendations to support informed decision-making by senior management across the business.
• Drive the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, setting achievable targets based on thorough analysis of market trends and internal performance metrics.
• Manage cashflow forecasting, working capital requirements, and overall financial health to ensure the organisation remains resilient and responsive to changing conditions.
• Oversee the preparation of full sets of accounts as well as month-end and year-end closing processes, maintaining accuracy and timeliness in all financial statements.
• Implement effective internal controls to guarantee compliance with accounting standards, statutory regulations, and best practices in financial governance.
• Coordinate external audits, tax submissions, and maintain strong relationships with auditors, tax agents, bankers, and other key stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with other departments such as retail operations, merchandising, warehouse management, and human resources to ensure proper cost control measures are in place.

What you bring:

To excel as Financial Controller, you will bring substantial experience gained from similar roles where you have been responsible for end-to-end financial management. Your background should include hands-on involvement in strategic planning as well as operational execution—balancing analytical rigour with practical problem-solving abilities.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, or MICPA) is mandatory.
• Proven experience in developing comprehensive financial strategies that support organisational objectives within a similar industry or environment
• Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate to non-financial stakeholders
• High attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to handle confidential information.
• Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and leadership skills, especially in influencing without direct authority.
