Our client is seeking a Senior Group Accountant to join their dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of an investment holding company with a focus on entities in Malaysia and Hong Kong. The successful candidate will have the chance to lead a dedicated team, prepare group consolidations, financial reports, and manage various audit and tax related matters.
What you'll do:
As a Senior Group Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in preparing group consolidations for approximately 20 entities. Your excellent organisational skills will be utilised in preparing monthly investment and cash flow projection reports. You will ensure the timely completion of annual statutory reporting while dealing with audit and tax related matters. Your leadership skills will shine as you guide your team on budgeting and forecasting. You will also analyse financial data for board meetings, interact with other departments, senior management, and collaborate with management on various tasks.
- Prepare Group consolidation for approximately 20 entities and company financial reports
- Prepare monthly investment and cash flows projection reports
- Ensure timely completion of annual statutory reporting, dealing with audit and tax related matters
- Review country-by-country report, master file and transfer pricing documents prepared by finance staff
- Lead and supervise a team of 4, including 1 direct report
- Guide finance staff on budgeting and forecasting
- Analyse financial data for board meetings
- Interact with other departments and senior management on work-related matters
- Collaborate with management, undertake any other duties and tasks required by management
What you bring:
As the ideal candidate for the Senior Group Accountant position, you bring a wealth of experience to the table. With at least 10 years' experience under your belt, you have significant expertise in group reporting and consolidation. Your degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, ICAEW, MICPA or CIMA sets you apart. Your strong organisational skills enable you to juggle multiple tasks effectively to meet deadlines. Your excellent communication skills allow you to present complex financial data clearly to both your team members and senior management.
- Degree in Accountancy or other recognised professional accounting qualifications; ACCA, ICAEW, MICPA or CIMA
- Minimum 10 years’ of working experience with significant experience in group reporting and consolidation in recent years
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks to meet established deadlines
- Strong analytical, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
