FINANCIAL CONTROLLER (SABAH)

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join their team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop financial and business strategies, engage in budgeting and tax planning, and enhance overall business performance. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying and resolving potential financial, accounting, and taxation problems across different business locations. This is a senior management role that requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a high level of integrity.


* Develop financial and business strategies
* Monitor financial reports and cash flow forecasts
* Manage statutory audit, tax, and other financial management functions


What you'll do:


As a Financial Controller, you will be instrumental in developing financial and business strategies that drive growth. You will monitor financial reports, manage cash flow forecasts, and ensure compliance with group Standard Operating Procedures. Your role will also involve engaging with external auditors on the audit programme for year-end statutory audits. Your ability to identify potential issues early on will be key to maintaining the smooth operation of our client's finance department.


* Develop financial and business strategies to enhance business performance
* Identify and resolve potential financial, accounting, and taxation problems across different business locations
* Monitor financial and management reports ensuring timeliness, completeness, accuracy, and reliability
* Review existing internal and accounting control systems for compliance with group Standard Operating Procedures
* Drive improvement in terms of system and processes across the Group companies
* Engage with external auditors on audit programme and timetable for year-end statutory audit


What you bring:


The ideal candidate for this Financial Controller position brings a wealth of experience in Accounting/Finance roles. You have a Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Qualification in Finance and Accountancy (CPA/ACCA/CIMA/MIA) along with at least 10 years of relevant work experience. Your strong command of spoken and written English coupled with your ability to work under pressure makes you an asset to any team. Your in-depth analytical skills enable you to spot details others may miss while your strong communication skills allow you to present complex information clearly.


* Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Qualification in Finance and Accountancy (CPA/ACCA/CIMA/MIA)
* At least 10 years of working experiences in Accounting/Finance roles
* Strong command of spoken and written English
* Self-motivated, strong team player able to work under pressure
* In-depth analytical skills with an eye for details
* Strong communication and presentation skills
