An exciting Plant Controller (Penang) job has become available at a multinational world-leading manufacturing and production company to be based in Penang, Malaysia.

About the Plant Controller (Penang) Role:
Reporting to the Senior Finance Director, APAC; this company is looking for a competent Plant Controller to business partner with General Manager in supporting plant operation and drive performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of the finance function at the plant
• Be responsible for FP&A reporting (budgeting and forecasting, etc.) and costing (product cost and inventory control, etc.)
• Prepare cash flow forecast/planning and tax planning
• Analyse, review and establish operational and internal controls effectiveness and procedures
• Ensure compliance with the statutory requirements, including audit and tax filing
• Prepare and review KPIs of functional units and review with operation

To succeed in this Plant Controller (Penang) role, you must have a minimum of 15 years’ accounting/auditing experience in the manufacturing industry; prior work experience in the PCB industry is preferred.

Key Requirements:

• Professional qualified accountant with MIA qualification
• Solid experience in managing finance/accounting functions
• Familiar with local accounting standards, taxation, regulations and operations
• Experience in computerised accounting system and ERP. Familiar with Oracle is an advantage
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, disciplinary and task-oriented and able to work independently in a team environment
• Good command of written and spoken English and Mandarin, as the candidate is required to work with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders
