Financial Controller

A Financial Controller job has become available at a listed IT company in Petaling Jaya.

About the Financial Controller (PLC) Role:
In this business critical role, you will be responsible for group financial reporting matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for full spectrum of the integrated finance functions, including operational finance, corporate finance, treasury and taxation
• Review all monthly management accounts, and any announcements, and quarterly statutory reports in line with requirements of a public listed company
• Improve the finance departmental operations and ensure timeliness, accuracy's and efficiency in all the tasked deliverables
• Work closely with auditors, tax agent, company secretary and tax authority
• Provide stand-in support services to departments under the extended Finance departments, namely Credit, Treasury and Purchasing
• Participate in any integrations of Operation system to the Financial ERP system
• Review of commercial agreements

To succeed in the Financial Controller job, you will need to have experience working in a public listed company preferably within a trading or distribution sector.

Key Requirements:

• Possesses an ACCA/CIMA/MACPA and degree in accounting or its equivalent with eight or more years of experience as a Finance Manager
• Good leadership and attention to detail
• Good work experience/proficiency in ERP system usage and system integrations
• Good commercial acumen and good compliance oriented in operational internal controls and other statutory compliances
• Good legal understanding of commercial and business risk
