Group Financial Planning & Analysis Manager

An exciting Group Financial Planning & Analysis Manager job has just become available at one of the most well-established FMCG organisations based in Kuala Lumpur. Reporting to the Finance Director you will serve as a business partner to various commercial leaders within the country.

About the Group Financial Planning & Analysis Manager Role:
As the Group Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, you will business partner with the group in managing and providing support to the finance and FP&A function, overseeing all projects initiated by regional HQ finance and contributing from an advisory role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Group VP Finance in overseeing and supporting the finance matters of the overseas entities of the group including Indonesia, Vietnam Thailand, Philippines, and Singapore
• Oversee and manage the project initiated by finance from time to time to ensure the project is implemented on-time
• Provide financial operational support and strategic/commercial insights on the group's key projects and business initiatives
• Thoroughly review the financial reports and provide advice on areas for improvement on the financial results of all companies in the group
• Develop effective management reports and key performance indicators (KPl) to assist in the managing and controlling of the business
• Be the champion for business process reengineering by working with the Head of Departments to improve end-to-end processes and internal controls
• Be the point of contact from the finance department for information request from the analyst team from Sales & Operation Planning, Supply Chain Capability, Corporate Planning and One Stop Centre
• Assist in special projects including IT and audit matters
• Review the cost structure of the group and find ways to achieve cost optimisation
• Review the product costing of goods sold to related companies
• Assist in budget/forecast preparation activities
• Analyse financial aspects of the business, covering P&L, balance sheet and pricing planning and analysis to assist strategic decision-making
• Prepare high-quality and timely reports. Analyse and interpret the actual financial data against budget/forecast, to deliver quality variance analysis and commentary
• Prepare and present product-launch phase gate presentations alongside the commercial teams that provide a detailed plan supported by financial metrics
• Support the FP&A and commercial functions in developing the annual budgeting cycle
• Review and establish financial and non-financial KPIs (key performance indicators)

The ideal candidate is a high-energy, responsive, detail-oriented, and experienced leader with strong communication, presentation, negotiation, analytical, operational, and people skills.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance and completed any of the professional accounting qualifications i.e. ACCA, CPA, MICPA, ICAEW
• Minimum of four years of work experience in a Big 4 accounting firm, particularly in audit or accounting/financial reporting/audit technical areas
• Previous experience in a similar role that requires strong understanding of financial controls, accounting, reporting, and business partnering
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present financial information and analysis to various audiences in a manner that ensures their understanding
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging work environment, whilst prioritising tasks and applying high levels of attention to detail
