Pricing Analyst / Assistant Manager

What you'll do:
As a Pricing Analyst or Assistant Manager based in Shah Alam, you will play a pivotal role in driving commercial excellence through rigorous analysis of pricing strategies and sales processes. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimise pricing models, monitor market trends, and provide actionable insights that enhance revenue generation. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records within CRM systems, preparing detailed reports for leadership review, and supporting process automation initiatives. By actively participating in company projects such as Sales Force Effectiveness programmes or customer surveys, you will contribute to continuous improvement efforts while developing your own expertise in sales operations. Success in this role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to communicate complex business insights effectively.
- Develop, maintain, and update comprehensive pricing models and price lists on a quarterly basis to ensure market competitiveness.
- Analyse market trends and competitor pricing strategies to recommend effective pricing proposals that align with business objectives.
- Collaborate daily with the sales team to assess special pricing requests, ensuring all recommendations support overall company goals.
- Implement and monitor robust pricing controls to maintain consistency across various markets and regions.
- Conduct detailed analysis of sales performance, price realisation, and margin impact across different product categories and geographical areas.
- Prepare monthly sales reports, pricing variance analyses, and insightful business reviews for leadership teams.
- Support forecasting and budgeting processes by evaluating historical sales data and identifying key pricing trends.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews with key stakeholders to drive informed decision-making.
- Maintain and enhance pricing tools, dashboards, and reporting systems using advanced Excel skills or other BI tools such as Power BI.
- Coordinate customer projects and quotes within the CRM system, ensuring data accuracy and completeness at all times.

- Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field is preferred for this position.

- Excellent presentation skills combined with strong written and verbal communication abilities are necessary for stakeholder engagement.
- Experience within the construction materials industry would be considered an asset but is not mandatory.

- Detail-oriented approach with high levels of organisation enables you to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
